Diisocyanates Restriction (EU) 2020/1149 - Restriction on diisocyanates (REACH Annex XVII entry 74)

About the diisocyanates restriction - REACH Annex XVII entry 74

Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/1149 added entry 74 to Annex XVII of REACH, restricting diisocyanates. Since 24 August 2023 they may not be used industrially or professionally — on their own, as a constituent of other substances, or in mixtures — where the concentration of free monomeric diisocyanates is 0,1 % by weight or more, unless the user has completed the required training in their safe use. Diisocyanates are respiratory and skin sensitisers, and the restriction targets occupational asthma from polyurethane work. This is why we built this website, where we present the restriction together with the amending regulation in a structured and easy-to-navigate format.

Using the text of Regulation (EU) 2020/1149 from EUR-Lex as our source material, we split it into individual pages corresponding to articles and annexes of the legal text and added several enhancements to improve navigation and usability.

We hope that you will find this tool useful in your study of the diisocyanates restriction. If you have any questions or feedback, please let us know at info@nextsds.com
