Cosmetic Products Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 - Cosmetic products

About Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 - the Cosmetic Products Regulation

Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council on cosmetic products sets the rules every cosmetic product made available on the EU market must meet. It assigns responsibility to a designated responsible person, requires a product safety report and CPNP notification, bans animal testing, and lists the substances that are prohibited, restricted or allowed only as colorants, preservatives or UV filters. This is why we built this website, where we present the most up-to-date consolidated version of the Cosmetic Products Regulation in a structured and easy-to-navigate format.

Using the latest consolidated text of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 from EUR-Lex as our source material, we split it into individual pages corresponding to articles and annexes of the legal text and added several enhancements to improve navigation and usability.

We hope that you will find this tool useful in your study of the cosmetics legislation. If you have any questions or feedback, please let us know at info@nextsds.com
