Biocidal Products Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 - Making available on the market and use of biocidal products

About Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 - the Biocidal Products Regulation

Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the making available on the market and use of biocidal products (the BPR) governs products that destroy, deter or control harmful organisms — from disinfectants and preservatives to pest control and antifouling products. It works in two stages: active substances are approved at Union level for a given product-type, and the products containing them are then authorised nationally, by mutual recognition or Union-wide. It also covers treated articles, data-sharing and the duty to avoid duplicate animal testing. This is why we built this website, where we present the most up-to-date consolidated version of the Biocidal Products Regulation in a structured and easy-to-navigate format.

Using the latest consolidated text of Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 from EUR-Lex as our source material, we split it into individual pages corresponding to articles and annexes of the legal text and added several enhancements to improve navigation and usability.

We hope that you will find this tool useful in your study of the biocides legislation. If you have any questions or feedback, please let us know at info@nextsds.com
